James Sharkey

James came to surveying from the contracting side, spending four years as a contracts manager with a large building contractor before joining Alderton Associates. It shows in how he runs a job: he knows what a programme looks like from the site cabin as well as the office.

He gained RICS chartered status in 2021 and leads project management and contract administration for the practice, delivering high-value residential and education schemes including the new nursery at Corringham Primary School for Thurrock Council.

James is the firm’s RICS Responsible Person and the first point of contact for any complaint.
