Matthew Chorley

Matt joined Alderton Associates in 2014 and became a director the same year, after seven years as a senior surveyor at NPS London specifying and managing refurbishment work to council housing and schools.

He leads the practice’s party wall work as a member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors, and has led the design and project management of the firm’s larger school projects, including St Cleres, East Tilbury and Woodside, several of them funded through bids he wrote.

Day to day he writes specifications, produces drawings and 3D models, inspects and manages work on site, and acts as contract administrator. He also carries out stock condition surveys, access audits and dilapidations for housing associations and councils.
